A11yPath is a static website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what data is collected when you visit our site.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use A11yPath. This helps us improve content and prioritize new patterns and guides. Google Analytics collects:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referring website or search engine

  • General geographic location (country/city level, not precise location)

Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors. Analytics only loads after you consent via the cookie banner. If you decline, no tracking cookies are set and no data is sent to Google.

A11yPath uses cookies only for Google Analytics, and only after you consent. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site or using your browser's cookie settings.

The cookies set by Google Analytics are:

  • _ga — Distinguishes unique visitors. Expires after 2 years.
  • _ga_* — Maintains session state. Expires after 2 years.

Local Storage

We use your browser's localStorage to remember:

  • Your theme preference (light or dark mode)
  • Your cookie consent choice (accepted or declined)
  • Your checklist progress (checked items)

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

Hosting and Server Logs

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may collect standard server log data including IP addresses, browser type, referring page, and pages visited. This data is governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to individual-level log data.

Information We Do Not Collect

A11yPath does not collect personal information through forms, require user accounts or login, sell or share data with third parties, or use advertising trackers.

Third-Party Links

Our site contains links to external resources such as WCAG documentation and other accessibility references. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites.

Children's Privacy

A11yPath does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Our site is an educational resource available to all ages.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
